About the event

What kind of event is the Edo Traditional Performing Arts Festival?


You can experience arts that have been passed down from ancient times through the Edo period to Tokyo,
including Noh, Kabuki, Japanese dance, traditional Japanese music, Gagaku, vaudeville theater, and folk performing arts
we have many opportunities to encounter a world that is usually rarely exposed to, such as experience programs that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike, and introductions to the work of the backstage workers who support traditional performing arts

When is the event held?

We hold a variety of events between January and March.
If there is a program that interests you, please come and visit us.

Are all performances paid?

Some events are free to attend.
Please check the ticket and venue information page and filter your search to "Free events only."

Where can I find detailed information about the show?

The latest information is posted in the program list on our website.
Please be sure to check the latest information when purchasing tickets.

Can I take photos during the performance or experience?

Unauthorized photography, audio and video recording during the performance is strictly prohibited.
Photography of experiential workshops is at the discretion of the performance organizer.
Please contact the organizer for details.

About tickets

Where can I purchase tickets?

Please check the performance details page for ticket agencies that sell tickets and purchase your tickets at each agency.

Are there discounted tickets (discounts for people with disabilities, student discounts, etc.)?

There are also performances and events that can be enjoyed at a discounted rate.
Please check the ticket and venue information page by filtering to "discounts only."

Can I change or refund my ticket?

As a general rule, we do not accept changes or refunds for purchased tickets.
In the unlikely event that the performance is canceled,
please check the information from the ticket agency where you purchased the ticket or the event organizer.

Can I still enter if I lose or forget my ticket?

Tickets cannot be reissued.
Please keep your ticket safe until the day of the performance.
You will not be allowed to enter with an image (photo, etc.) of the ticket.
In principle, those without a ticket will not be allowed to enter.

Are same-day tickets available?

For information on whether same-day tickets are available,
please check the website or social media of the event organizer.

About Visiting

Is there parking available?

Please use public transportation.
Please check for paid parking lots around the venue on your own.

Is there any support for viewing?

We offer various types of viewing support, such as support for the visually and hearing impaired and performances in foreign languages.
The support offered varies depending on the performance, but we hope that more people will be able to enjoy performing arts.

Are there barrier-free measures (wheelchair seats, etc.)?

Please check the barrier-free information on the details page of each program.
If it is not listed on the details page, please contact the venue.

What age can I enter?

Each program has a set target age.
Please check the details page for each program.
There are also performances and experience programs for children.
